Isentroth

UI design and art direction for a solo RPG set in a cold Norse frontier. Matt DiSabatino’s studio, Schedule 3 Wizards, develops and publishes the game.

The game

Isentroth is a grim solo RPG in the Isenmarch. A Machine Game Master narrates the saga in prose, and a full dice ruleset sits underneath what you see. It is based on Ironsworn by Shawn Tomkin, used under CC BY 4.0, and it is not affiliated with Tomkin Press. Release is set for November 2026, and it is rated 18+.

The interface

Isentroth character creation: distributing Fleet, Mettle, Isen, Sleight, and Wits for a character named Brynn.

Matt DiSabatino made the world and the rules. Schedule 3 Wizards, DiSabatino LLC publishing under that name, develops and publishes Isentroth. He holds the Machine Game Master to its voice, and decides what ships.

Miles art-directed Isentroth and designed the UI. Stark Studios built that interface in Ren’Py. The work covers character creation, and how a scene and a location are presented. We also worked on the Machine Game Master that answers what the player types.
